Ah! Summer the time for sweet sweet vacations a full month of games and fun and oh! traveling to our native places how can I forget that! In anticipation of all these I bid farewell to all my friends from the hostel and head towards the bus stop. You know those days I was very much into goyendagiri or was acting like a pseudo detective all thanks to feluda and bomkesh stories 🙃.
Soon I reached the bus stop and performed the routine, you know the usual where you go to the counter get the ticket try to give exact change but end up asking for it instead, followed by a lot of ranting from both the ends...…. And then you wait for the bus observing the crowd, some happy some sad some shady some oblivious to the world around them and some are simply doing what I am doing observing others 😅
One should go to a bus stop and look around it's a different experience all together!
This time something was not right, unlike every year this year things were different, no ranting not many people around, ones around were eyeing each other, all together a very eerie atmosphere, you are not required to be Einstein to figure out that something is wrong, using my strong analytical and detective skills(which means I asked the counter guy 😐) I found out that the bus stop was held hostage by a gang of troublemakers (you know the ones starting out their career into such things trying to execute a low key hostage scenario for some fame and ransom) and I just like an oblivious bug fell into their net 😑
At this point in the story you must have imagined that I am going to save the day, but that's not the case 😅, actually its slightly disappointing for the crowd and embarrassing for those thugs, and a big blow to our expectations 😕😏
The case was they kept waiting to fulfill their demands and you know the police how it works...…they didn't turn up at the site.... 😡
After some time the troublemakers just left the bus stop in a bus which they hired in the first hand 🤣🤣🤣 Well not an epic story but an incident to remember life long, really the summer of 69 was something...….even today when I go to that bus stop that incident still cracks me up 😄
